A Unique Way to Design

Do you have a vision, but can't get it out of your head?  What if someone could be your hands to draw?

Are you one of those folks who can't visualize but know what you like when you see it?  What if someone could be a mind's eye for you?

What about that weird space?  What do you do with that?

If you were to spend 20,000 dollars on a car wouldn't you take out comprehensive insurance that gives you extra coverage above what the law dictates so that if it sustained damage, your vehicle would be protected. 

What if you were planning on spending thousands of dollars on a home improvement.  Wouldn't you want to be assured that after dropping a huge wad of cash and having to deal with the life disruptions of a major project in your home that you wouldn't hate it when it's done?

Would taking out insurance be worth it to avoid such a catastrophe?

Think of our comprehensive designs as an assurance policy which greatly mitigates the risk of the following bombshell statement:

"Well, it's not what I pictured."

Nearly everything you see on this site was designed by me, Jacob Sutherland  and  all items were built by JCS.  Not a single thing was built on the fly.  It all took careful design and planning. 

We use several methods to extract ideas from the realm of the mind.  It usually starts with a sketch pad and then progresses to 3D software and then after tweaking and perfecting it comes forth into reality.

Our methodology is different than a cabinet outlet or big box store because our product is different than big box stores.  Most of them use a program called 20/20 which for its purpose is the best out there. 

The problem starts when you want something different than prefabbed mass produced cabinets.  What if you want other carpentry products or closer representations of your own furniture or room shapes that 20/20 can't handle.

JCS designs  show you what your entire room or new structure will look like with the end product.

Here is how it works:

• We have a free  initial consultation to discuss feasibility .  This involves a survey of the work area to verify structural soundness.  We also discuss market values that will help you plan a budget based on a wants/needs/cost ratio.
• Next, we set a 90 minute appointment.  With the use of a large drawing pad we have a very detailed discussion of  your wants and needs regarding the space till we begin zeroing in on the design that you're after.  This allows for enough time to sketch several concepts.  The fee is 200.00 for this appointment.  You may like all of the drawings and may want to consult with friends to help you decide or you may have your mind made up.
• Depending on the  concept you like, we proceed to the next step and I go to  work and create an alterable 3D computer computer model.  We finish the process by tweaking the model.  This service is only 40.00 per hour and mostly happens in your home.

When the process is finished and we've settled business, copies of all work are turned over to you along with an estimate for JCS to build the design. 

If you choose another builder, the only stipulation is that I get credited for the design.
