Curved Sapele Tub Surround
What better sanctuary can you find but the comfort of a hot bath?
The inviting curvature of the tub surround below leads to the shower on the left (not pictured).
An important thing to remember is the bathroom is the one place in the home where the contents are most subject to prolonged scrutiny. It is the most important place for details to be just right. Therefore the tub surround is composed of several layers that were necessary to fortify against movement in a moist environment.
We sealed the wooden components with marine polyurethane.
Code dictates there be an opening to access the pump motor so we hid the hatch on the left side. The entire surround comes off with the easy removal of a few decorative brass screws.
